The Talensi District, carved out of the former Talensi-Nabdam District in June 2012, sits in the Upper East Region of Ghana with its capital at Tongo — the epicentre of Talensi culture. Home to the legendary Tongo hills, caves and shrines, our district is a living museum of heritage.
Under the leadership of the Hon. District Chief Executive John Millim Nabwomya, the Assembly is committed to improving living conditions through education, agriculture, roads, and a greener environment. With agriculture employing about 90% of residents, our development agenda puts the farmer first.
We invite investors, partners and citizens to join us on this journey.
